Client doing The Great South Run, please help if you can

Please click on link if you would like to help with a donation

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for The Great South Run, or in my case the Great South Power Walk and Run. OK so that would need a bigger banner!!

I'm taking part in this event in memory of my Father who died over 20 years ago from the effects of Diabetes so I think it's definitely time now I am much fitter and healther to try and give something back to help with future research into this disease.

I have a modest target, and would be really grateful if you were able to sponsor me for a couple of pounds to help me along. Why the Great South Run?? Well I love Portsmouth and this is where the event takes place, also it's a reasonably flat course (thinking of the legs!) and you never know there may be some Sailors along the way. Yes Uniforms again!!

It is my first "official" race so I am really looking forward to being part of the event, hopefully learning a lot from the experience and also finishing the course - I shall finish no matter what! I am in the last start batch as I put a slow finish time, but that's good as it will make me pace myself do some running combined with the power walking and hopefully be able to set the challenge of catching people in front of me along the way. I need little targets along the way to keep me going.

Thank you for any support you are able to give me towards my fundraising target in memory of my Father, who I know would have been extremely proud to see me do all the things I have done this year!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks again

Gill x
